Visualization can go a long way

Visualization. Its what painters do before they start a piece of art, olympic athletes have been doing it for decades to improve performance, and theres even studies to show that brain patterns activated when a weight lifter lifts heavy weights are also similarly activated when they just imagine lifting those weights. Visualization is on of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. So it makes sense that when I started learning about vision boards, it had a lot to do with visualizing what you want in life.
I got curious about these things when I was scrolling through Pinterest, surprise surprise. I saw people making them and putting them in their home office. I wondered what that really did besides look good. I saw them as a piece of decoration and nothing more. I have learned way different now. I truly believe in the majestic powers of the vision board. I am a very big planner, organizer, and goal setter, so it makes sense that this is just the thing for me. If your always setting goals for yourself and never seeming to accomplish anything, then maybe this is just the thing for you also.
Studies around the world have proved that if you put all your goals and hopes and dreams into a piece of actual real time art work, and set it somewhere you will look at it every day then your more likely to use the great powers of visualization to achieve said goals. It has a lot to do with the same concept as mediation, you visualize what you want, focus a little brain power on it, and eventually you get what you want. Now I'm not saying you put a lamborgini car on your board and just by looking at it everyday its going to magically appear at your door step, but if you put a relaxing beach on your vision board and look at it every day, you might in time find yourself on a very similar beach and be as relaxed as you thought you would be when you first copied and pasted that picture. Its more about a feeling than material things, you want to put on your board things that make you feel a certain way. Thats just one of the things I learned that I didn't already know about when starting this blog post. If any of you beautiful humans have read the secret, and learned all about the law of attraction, then its the same concept as a vision board. You attract good things when you surround yourself with good things. You have to think long term, but for those of you who love setting goals for themselves, this shouldn't be a problem. So as a little project in the spirit of vision boards I have made one myself, and not only was it a fun way to pass the time, I think that putting what I want and how I want to feel on paper and looking at it all, I realized more about myself and more about the things that make me happy. I truly believe the magic will happen someday, I just need to keep practicing those visualization excersices.
